Oil on wood panel
Watkins Glen is a beautiful, lush spot in upstate New York that my family visited when I was a teenager living on the east coast. The cascading pools surrounded by steep rock walls make you want to stay there all day, listening to the running water. At that point in my life, I think this was the most beautiful place I’d ever been. And it’s still up there for me!
This was also my first painting on wood panel and I loved experimenting with this grainy surface, and getting out of my canvas comfort zone.
Check out the trail that inspired this painting.
