I submitted this piece to an open-ended assignment to draw three skulls... and it turned out to be one of my favorite works (and very different from my landscapes!). The painting shows a vibrant, multi-colored skull from three angles detaching from its spinal cord and floating into streaky, electric blue watercolor space.
