Never Summer Vista
36 x 24”
Oil on canvas
This scene depicts the alpine tundra in Rocky Mountain National Park, looking westward toward the Never Summer Mountains. My family always loves driving on Trail Ridge Road up above the tree line in the park — the views are gorgeous and we often spot wildlife like elk, marmots and pikas. The Never Summer mountain range (“Ni-chebe-chii”) was named by the Arapaho tribe for its snow capped peaks year round, and can be seen from the Alpine Ridge Trail.
