“Budding” and “Blossoming“ are two mini paintings of the iconic Boulder Flatirons in spring. We didn’t get enough snow this year in Colorado, but it’s been wet over the last several weeks and we’ve needed it. While working on these pieces, I was feeling grateful for precipitation and all that follows from it — regrowth and flowers, green, mist.
Painting the Flatirons as a Boulder artist truly feels like a rite of passage. I hope you enjoy.
