At the Crater’s Edge
8 x 10”
Oil on wood panel
On my first trip to Oregon, we drove the van up from California along the coast and made our way inland to Crater Lake. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything bluer. These gnarly, ancient trees lined the overlooks along the ridge perimeter, and I appreciated the personality of this whitish tree skeleton in particular. The whole place helped me remember how young we are in comparison to our surroundings.
